Bailout

Am I the only one annoyed by the fact that homeowners who bought too much house, failed to act responsibly about their own finances, will be getting bailout checks in the mail - while people who work hard, pay their mortgages on time, and acted responsibly during the housing boom will not?

Bailout money is tax money. Tax money is money out of my pocket. Why am I paying for them?

Instead of bailing out the irresponsible, how about using the same bailout money to fund new businesses which will create new jobs that will ultimately allow people to get back on their feet? How about some bailout money for entrepreneurs who are trying to grow their businesses and preserve / create jobs?

If we keep on bailing out failing businesses and irresponsible homeowners, what incentive is there for people to act responsibly and continue to work hard?

Aren't we sending a very loud message to society that the government now rewards failure while penalizing those trying to do the right things?
